New Musical Theatre Program for Kindergarten-2nd grade

Starting on January 27th, Spotlight Repertory NW will be offering a musical theatre program for children in Kindergarten-2nd grade. This is a program for beginner level children who just love to sing and dance! We will be working on creating a show called "Bugz-the Musical", and every rehearsal will be filled with lots of singing and dancing. The children even get an opportunity to do some acting! Our Beginner musical theatre program is designed to be a safe, encouraging environment, where children can discover the joy of the performing arts. The season ends in a show for family and friends in which the children will get to wear costumes, use props, and even use microphones.

This program has reached capacity and registration is closed.

"Jr Director" Internship Program for 4th-12th grade Students

This season, we are accepting select student as interns for our Beginner Musical Theatre program. Depending on their area, the students in these roles will work alongside the "Bugz-the Musical" show director to assist in musical direction, choreography, costumes, administration, and tech. All "Jr Directors" are required to attend every rehearsal, and must be available for the entire day of the show.

The students in these roles will be selected by the show directors, and we are only able to take a certain number of interns. In order to express interest in a "Jr Director" role, students must complete the interest form including a short essay explaining why they feel they are a good fit for this role. Students will be contacted within 14 days of submitting their essay, and will be informed if they have been selected for the program. Students may express interest in multiple areas, but should indicate which one they are most interested in; students may only participate in one area.

Students will be selected based on the following criteria: program availability, essay answers, and (for previous Spotlight performers) leadership skills showed in rehearsals.

There is a $50 fee (if selected for the program) which helps to cover the cost of internship program administration and the student's nametag and t-shirt.

If you have any questions, please contact Kat Gray at spotlightrepyouth@gmail.com. We would love to chat with you about this program!
