Summer Musical - The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee
(Ages 13 - 21)
We are excited to announce A-U-D-I-T-I-O-N-S for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee - a charmingly witty and touching musical that has delighted audiences since its Tony Award®–winning debut. This is a fantastic opportunity for performers ages 13-21 to shine on stage in a beloved Broadway show!
AUDITION PROCESS:
Auditions: Wednesday, June 4 & Friday, June 6 | 5:00–7:00 PM
Please indicate your preferred date during registration.
Please prepare a 30–60 second monologue and one verse/chorus of a Broadway song. And bring sheet music.
Dance Auditions (required for all): Saturday, June 7 | 2:00–5:00 PM
Callbacks: Sunday, June 8 | 2:00–5:00 PM
All auditions will be held in the Sammamish Hills Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall - 22818 SE 8th St, Sammamish, WA 98074

(If there are two casts, they will alternate performances.)
WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER AUDITIONS:
- You will be notified directly about your casting outcome. If cast, you will have the opportunity to accept or decline your role.
- Full conflict calendars will be distributed, and all participants will be invited to a cast and parent kickoff meeting.
- Tuition: $675, due upon acceptance of the role.
- Each cast family is expected to contribute ten (10) hours of volunteer time to support the production. A buyout option is available for those unable to volunteer.
The Spotlight Repertory NW team is committed to creating a warm and welcoming environment for young and aspiring actors. We strive to provide a high-quality educational theatre experience. Rehearsals are structured to introduce participants to a professional approach to learning music, dance, and character development—while nurturing their artistic growth and performance skills. Along the way, participants build creativity, collaboration, focus, problem-solving abilities, a strong work ethic, and increased self-confidence.
